CJI’s panel on strategies for safely reducing community supervision revocations explored findings from its 2022 national report “Promoting Success on Supervision.” CJI presenters were joined by agency leaders in the field who shared key lessons learned based on their years of experience including:

• The importance of generating buy-in from community supervision staff
• The need for ongoing stakeholder education on community supervision policies and practices
• The responsibility of agencies to connect individuals exiting incarceration to support services as soon as possible
