The Joint Training Partnership of the Chief Probation Officers of California, California State Sheriff’s Association and the California State Association of Counties hosted the Third Annual Conference on Public Safety Realignment in collaboration with the Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) at CRJ.
More than 600 stakeholders from more than 50 counties in California gathered to discuss opportunities to integrate resources and improve outcomes for justice-involved individuals across all decision points – from the initial point of contact, to supervision, to reentry into the community. The conference afforded opportunities to re-think mechanisms to minimize harm and produce maximum public safety benefits for communities, taxpayers, victims and the criminally involved.
