On December 18th, CJI staff participated in the Massachusetts Summit on Reform, Re-entry and Results: Promoting Progress in the Criminal Justice System.
Hundreds of criminal justice stakeholders were in attendance, as the day began with a keynote address by Governor Deval Patrick. Christine Cole, Vice President of CRJ and Executive Director of CJI, moderated the breakout session “Using Data to Support and Sustain Criminal Justice Reform”.
The session included a conversation regarding the use of the Pew-McArthur Results First Initiative and the newly reconstituted Massachusetts Sentencing Commission. The event also included a panel moderated by Ed Davis, Former Commissioner of the Boston Police Department and Former CRJ Consultant: “Taking the Entry Out of Re-entry”.
